Rick Wolfinger Obituary

Rick A. Wolfinger,60, loving son, brother, father, husband, grandfather , friend, and proud
Marine left this world on March 22, 2025, at his childhood home, surrounded by his family.
Born on December 4, 1964, Rick was an avid outdoorsman, with a deep love for hunting
and fishing. The quiet solitude of nature brought him peace, and the thrill of a successful
hunt or the calm of a fishing trip brought him joy. No matter if he was climbing a mountain
in Potter County, tracking whitetail, or catching trout in the streams around Pennsylvania,
that’s where he felt connected to the earth and surrounded by the beauty of the world he
loved.
Rick served his country with honor and dedication, and his legacy of service and
camaraderie will never be forgotten. A Marine through and through, Rick was a man of
integrity and strength. He proudly served, embodying the values of loyalty, courage, and
sacrifice. His commitment to his country and fellow Marines was unwavering, and the
bonds he forged during his service were lifelong. His courage on the battlefield was
matched only by his gentle spirit at home.
Above all, Rick was a loving and dedicated Papaw to his eight grandchildren. His love for his
grandchildren was boundless. He took immense joy in spending time with them, whether it
was sharing a popsicle, teaching them to fish and to hunt for snakes, or simply enjoying the
laughter of his little buddies.

He is survived by his mother, Artis (Winkler), brothers: Donald “Rusty” (Kellie), Charles
(Brian), wife, Beckie Haring, children: Justin Wolfinger, Erin Wolfinger, Tony Hampton, Beth
(Tony) Capersino, Danielle(Sean) Velazquez and his grandchildren : Charlotte Moon,
Aubree, Mason, Charlotte Grace, Regina, Vada and Conrad, and will be dearly missed by all
who knew him.
Rick was preceded in death by his father, Donald Wolfinger, and grandson Willis Edward
Hampton.
Rick may have laid down his rifle and fishing rod, but his spirit will live on in the stories,
music, and memories he leaves behind. Semper Fi, and may you rest in peace, Rick. The
hunt is over, but your legacy endures, and the music plays on.
Celebration of life to be held 3/29/25 at his childhood home in Coopersburg, PA.
