Peter Garcia

Peter Garcia, 68, of Allentown, passed away on September 20 at St. Luke’s Hospital – Warren Campus, Phillipsburg, NJ.  Born on October 18, 1952 in Naguabo, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Maria (Simmons) Garcia and the late Pedro Garcia Maldonado.

He was of the Catholic faith.  Peter was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants.

In addition to his mother in Naguabo, he is survived by a son, Peter Irizarry Garcia of Passaic, NJ; sisters America Garcia of Allentown, PA, Maria Morales of Westtown, NY, Iris Garcia of Bethlehem, PA, Emma Maldonado of Allentown, PA, brother Carlos Mendez of Naguabo, PR; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A viewing for Peter will be held on Friday, October 1 from 12‑2pm in the Boyko Funeral Home, 855 Lehigh Street; Allentown, PA  18103.  Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm in the funeral home.  Interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery, Allentown.  Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.boykofuneralhome.com.
