Marta Casiano Alicea

Marta Casiano Alicea, 82, passed away peacefully on August 28 while in the company of her loving family.  A New Years’ baby, she was born on January 1, 1939 in San German, Puerto Rico to the late Martin Casiano and the late Narcisa Alicea.  She was the wife of the late Victor Manuel Artreche who passed in 2003.

Prior to retiring, Marta had worked as a seamstress for various textile mills.  She was of the Pentecostal faith and a member of Vertical Church LV in Bethlehem.

Surviving are sons Victor M. Artreche, Jr., and Gerson Artreche; daughters Marilyn E. (Artreche) Cancel, Awilda (Artreche) Gonzales of Lower Macungie Twp., and Rachel (Artreche) Fonseca; sisters Eufemia Casiano and Elizabeth (Casiano) Ortiz; brother Abraham Casiano; many nieces and nephews; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.

A viewing for Marta will be held on Friday, September 3rd, from 6-8pm and again from 9-10am at the Boyko Funeral Home, 855 Lehigh Street; Allentown, PA  18103.  Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 3rd at 7:00pm in the funeral home with Pastor Noel Sanabria officiating.  Interment to immediately follow in Fairview Cemetery – Allentown.
