Jalene Madgeline Barreto, 25, of Allentown, passed away suddenly on October 25 at St. Luke’s Hospital – Fountain Hill. Born on January 20, 1996 in Allentown, she was the daughter of Daniel Barreto and Josephine “Josie” Ortiz. She was the loving companion of Hector Gonzalez.
Jalene was a Christian. She enjoyed dancing, writing poems, reading, spending quality time with family. She had a contagious smile, a good person, and a beautiful soul inside and out.
In addition to her parents and companion, she is survived by step-father Angel Cruz; brother Josiah Baretto of Allentown; step-sisters Annette Rodriguez of Allentown and Taisha Rodriguez of Nazareth; half-sister Melissa Barreto Pugarelli of Allentown; maternal grandfather Juan Rivera of Allentown; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her precious daughter Nylah Gonzalez.
A viewing for Jalene will be held on Tuesday, November 2 from 4-8pm and again from 11am-1pm on Wednesday, November 3 in the Boyko Funeral Home, 855 Lehigh Street; Allentown, PA 18103. Funeral service will be at 1:00pm following the viewing on Wednesday in the funeral home. Interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery – Allentown.
