Destiny Yamylette Velez

Destiny Yamylette Velez, 22, of Allentown, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 17 at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg.  Born in Reading on June 5, 1999, she was the daughter of Herbierto and Diana (Cruz) Velez.  She was the fiancé of Jonathan Rodriguez.

She recently graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in medical assistant.  She was of the Pentecostal faith.

In addition to her parents and fiancé, she is survived by step‑daughter Jennesy Rodriguez; sister Felicity Velez of Easton; brothers Gregory Gonzalez Cross, Herbierto Velez, Jr. of Detroit, MI, Nicholas of Allentown, Kyle Velez of Lebanon; grandparents Carmen E. Cruz and Dennis Cruz; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 26 at 1:00pm in the Boyko Funeral Home, 855 Lehigh Street; Allentown, PA  18103.  A viewing will be held in the funeral home from 10:00am until the time of the service.  Interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery – Allentown.  Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.boykofuneralhome.com.
