Daniel Jesus Martinez

Daniel Jesus Martinez, 68, of Allentown, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 22 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown.  Born on April 27, 1953 in Manhattan, he was the son of the late Jesus and Eleanor (Barker) Martinez.  He was the companion of Elba Otero-Pagan.

Prior to retiring, he had worked at AT&T.  He was of the Catholic faith.  He proudly served his country in the Air Force in the Vietnam War.

In addition to Elba, he is survived by a sister, Jeannie Martinez of Allentown; brother David Martinez of Clearwater, FL; “Children,” Carmen Munoz, Luis Munoz, Alejandro Munoz, Jackeline Munoz, and Katherine Acevedo, all of Allentown.  He was predeceased by brothers Joseph, Dennis, Louis, and Manuel Martinez.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 28 at 10:00am at the Boyko Funeral Home, 855 Lehigh Street; Allentown.  A viewing will be held from 9:00am until the time of service in the funeral home.  Father George Winne from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Allentown will be officiating.  Interment with U.S. Air Force Military Honors to follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.
