Carlos Alberto Batista, 53, of Allentown PA passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021 from injuries sustained while riding his motorcycle.
Carlos was born on June 27, 1968 at 5:07am in Fordham Hospital, Bronx NY to Mirta B. Pimentel and Jose Batista. For most of his childhood he and his younger sister Emily Pimentel were raised in Nelson Ave, Woodycrest, and University Ave in the Bronx. He attended William H. Taft HS and later became employed with a moving company. He loved to play handball, stickball, and street craps.
As an adult Carlos settled down in Allentown where he lived with his wife and 2 yo. daughter. He worked in receiving at a manufacturing plant where he was known to be a no-nonsense hard worker. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, watching movies, hanging out with his buddies, and getting a few drinks at the pub. He worked hard to provide for his family and was looking forward to moving from Allentown so he could buy a house and give his baby girl a backyard to play in. Sadly, he passed before he could fulfill his goal.
We will always remember his big smile and how he loved to tell stories. Some stories made us laugh, a few made us cry and others just left us astonished. Carlos lived his life unapologetically for who he was, but humble for who he became in his later years as a man and father.
He is survived by his sister Emily Pimentel, his wife B. Santos, two minor children, Cattleya (2yo), Elijah (17yo) and four adult children, twins Tatyana and Clarysa (23), Carlos Jr. (25) and Joshua (21). Even though he’s gone, the footprints he left in our hearts will stay forever.
Word Up! Bernarda Santos
