Brenda K. (Duch) Castro

Brenda K. (Duch) Castro passed away on Wednesday, July 14 at home surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late John and Bernice (Collins) Duch.  She was the companion of John Cauthen for the past 11 years.

She worked as a seamstress for various textile mills.  She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Sisters of Abigail #196 and served as Worthy Matron from November 2016 to December 2019; she also served as Associate Grand Matron from September 2018 to September 2019.

In addition to her companion John, she is survived by sons John Duch of Nescopeck, PA and Michael Duke of Charlottesville, VA; brothers Chris, Matthew, and Timothy; sisters Patricia, Cecilia, Bonnie, and Gina; nine grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She was pre-deceased by a daughter, Angela Billig and brothers Jonathan, Charles, and David.

Friends are invited to call between 5-6pm on Thursday, July 22 at the Boyko Funeral Home, 855 Lehigh Street; Allentown, PA.  Funeral service will begin at 6:00pm.  Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.boykofuneralhome.com.
